Boron nitride is a crystal made of nitrogen and boron atoms and comes in four different variants:cubic boron nitride (CBN), hexagonal boron nitride (HBN), rhombohedral boron nitride (RBN) and wurtz Ore Boron Nitride (WBN). Among them, hexagonal boron nitride is the most stable crystalline form. Hexagonal boron nitride is a hexagonal crystal form, also called graphitic boron nitride. Similar to the hexagonal carbon network in graphite, it has diamagnetism and high anisotropy. The crystal parameters are also quite similar.
Hexagonal boron nitride properties:
1. Electrical insulation, thermal conductivity, chemical corrosion resistance and lubricity, and strong neutron absorption capacity, relatively stable to almost all organic solvents and corrosive chemicals;
2. Chemically inert to almost all molten metals.
3. In the air below 1000 ℃, various physical and chemical properties remain basically unchanged; in nitrogen or argon, the temperature is still stable at 3000 ℃.
4. The hexagonal boron nitride powder is hot-pressed and sintered into a white block, which is easy to machine and has a temperature resistance of up to 2000 °C.

2、对几乎所有的熔融金属都呈化学惰性。
3、在空气中1000℃以下,各种物理化学性质基本保持不变;在氮气或氩气中使用温度3000℃仍然稳定。
4、六方氮化硼粉末经热压烧结后成白色块状,易于机械加工,耐温可高达2000℃。
